Childrens portraits.

Information.

Having spent a great deal of time working with children, I understand their needs and take this into account when coming to spend the day with you. As a result I am fairly relaxed and like to work around you and your family to ensure that I capture images that are personal and unique to you.

I recommend that we start in the morning after breakfast or directly after lunch when children are fed and well rested. That way we can get the most out of our time together.

I will arrive at your home or an agreed location and spend the first 10 minutes to half an hour getting to know you and your family.

Once I start taking photos I tend to try and stand back and watch the family interact to capture images that are natural. I may introduce ideas or games as needed to help guide you so that we can get the best set of images. I encourage parents to play with the children and interact with them in their usual way as this keeps them relaxed and happy.

Questions & Answers

Q. How long does a session take?

A. A session can take anything from an hour to up to two or three depending on the days events. I recommend you allocate a minimum of half a day for the shoot.

Q. Does the shoot have to take place at our home?

A. No, the shoot can take place anywhere you choose. We can start at home and then head down to the local playground or park. Or alternatively meet at a pre-arranged location such as the beach.

Q. How Many photos do you take?

I take as many photos as I feel necessary to give you a broad variety of emotive natural images. This can be anything up to a few hundred images. When the shoot is over I weed it down to the 50 best images.

Q. When do I get to see the photos?

A. The photos can take up to a week for me to edit depending on how busy I am and how many images I take.

Q. How do I view the images and make my selection?

A. I upload the final images onto a private Client Gallery which you can view by logging into the Client area of my website.
