I left the sunny shores of Africa 11 years ago and settled in London with the intention of carving out a career in graphic design. However, it wasn’t meant to be and after a year of trying to break into the world of graphics I moved to Yorkshire. I spent a great deal of time with photographer Allan Ivy, who had an immense influence on my life – inspiring me to take up photography.
It was here that my passion for photography blossomed. What began as a hobby slowly progressed into an obsession.
After a year living in the Peak District, I decided to move back to London where my love affair with photography continued to grow. I enrolled in a 35mm film photography course at South Thames College.
Needing some way of paying for my hobby, I started working part time as an Au Pair and established a small photography business in my spare time.
The world of photography is a difficult nut to crack, but I persevered and slowly but surely what started out as a hobby, has grown into a thriving Portraiture Photography business.
The decision to become an Au Pair proved to be a turning point in my life. It was during this time that I met my husband Ion. We were married in September 2009 in his hometown, Ghimes Faget in the Transylvanian Alps, Romania.
Landscape photography is a passion, which can easily become addictive. There is inspiration all around us and I endeavour to capture that and share it. It keeps me grounded and encourages me to the endless challenges the realms of photography has to offer. I hope you enjoy the journey that Ion and I are about to embark on – through the moments captured along the way.
